Has Meet–So Catering Services Limited Made Major Cuts?

(Vancouver, BC) The British Columbia Métis Federation (BCMF) has been informed by sources yesterday that major steps were taken last Friday, October 14th with the removal of Meet-So Catering Services Limited Chef Andrew George, Manager Stuart Cadwallader, and another staff member.

BCMF President Keith Henry stated; “I question the transparency of MNBC in these situations. Is this actually true? If so, was this potential major reduction of key staff to one of the MNBC’s only potential economic development initiatives made public only a few weeks ago at the MNBC Annual General Meeting? ”

BCMF President Keith Henry concluded; “MNBC leaders, consultants, and their management team continue to perpetuate the notion that the MNBC AGM was all positive and everything is going forward just fine, or rather business as usual. MNBC has sent been press releases and made concerted efforts, in my opinion, to spin an MNBC positive message. Meanwhile, if Meet-so has removed key staff then the MNBC board does not appear to be forthcoming and transparent to the people who attended their AGM only a few short weeks ago, that being their own supporters. However, this really comes as no surprise to me. The MNBC has larger overall debt that the reported 2.3 million, they have yet to provide their 2nd quarter debt recovery plan progress report, and MNBC has yet to pay approved youth projects throughout BC. Perhaps MNBC will inform only their select few and ask yourself why are you hearing from the BCMF rather than the MNBC themselves if this is true? Leaders who understand the definition of transparency would know how to provide information.”

Well now the word is final. They should all be ashamed of themselves. It is one thing to make a mistake but quite another to hide that mistake. They delayed the announcement until after the AGM knowing full well they were going to have to shut down after only three months of operation. Meet-so catering was to have been the backbone and main profit producing venture of the school.
If this group would have only stayed home and done nothing from the first day after they were elected and collected their paycheques, we would be miles ahead of where we are now. Instead they set out to create a legacy for themselves without a clue as to what they were doing.
We should name the school after them and print their names in huge letters for all to see as the building falls more into decay. Shame on all of you who attended the AGM and joined in the love fest. Shame on all of you Presidents who spoke out against those who asked questions at the MNGA and those who sat back and said nothing. Daniel maybe now you can choke on your lentil soup. I am ashamed, we have exactly what we deserve, less than nothing.

BC Metis citizens have once again become the victims of lies and deception by MNBC leadership. All MNBC Annual General Meeting delegates should hang their heads in shame. They were used to further the self-serving agenda of MNBC leadership.

I have never seen a leadership regime that conducts themselves in such a disgraceful manner. They have resorted to lies and deception and use their Metis citizens like pawns to further their selfish self-serving agenda.

To trumpet Meet-so catering as a revenue generating entity that will lead MNBC out of financial insolvency was nothing more than a bad joke. Yet AGM delegates listened to this cow-pattie story and actually believed what they were hearing. A mere few weeks passes by …. and POOF !!!!! Meet-so catering is gone.

I am also disappointed in the lack of leadership shown by the community Presidents. It is obvious that they have become a part of the PROBLEM, rather than the SOLUTION.

The MNBC is a very sick orgnization that has no business in ATTEMPTING to LEAD our people. They are truly a worthless group of individuals.

I have been around in the business world for a long time. I have never and I repeat never seen a new business shut down after only 3 months. Add to the incompetence, the arrogance and the down right lying plus the $7000.00/year plus individual phone bills…it makes me burn. To think those on the floor of the AGM gave these individuals a “carte blanche” to go out and acquire more debt through loans.
