As part of the BC Métis Federation’s “Finding Your Voice” women’s programming, you are invited to attend a Relationship Awareness seminar on event on Saturday, June 29 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the BCMF office in Vancouver (390-3665 Kingsway). The event is FREE to attend and is open to all Métis women.
Titled “Raising the Red Flags”, the seminar will help you to recognize potential red flags in relationships and gain insight into the dynamics of abusive behaviour and learn to prioritize your emotional well-being:
- Identifying early warning signs of unhealthy relationships.
- Understanding the underlying factors contributing to abusive behaviour.
- Exploring strategies for setting boundaries

Lisa Matyszewski is a Training & Development Specialist at the BC Society of Transition Houses. She works from an intersectional feminist and trauma-informed lens, and is passionate about promoting relationships that foster respect and dignity.
