The three-day challenge-based event will be held at the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport in Richmond, BC from December 9 to 12, and will be attended by 200 budding Aboriginal business people from across Canada. It will also feature a motivational line-up of panelists and speakers from a variety of backgrounds.

YES is hosted by The New Relationship Trust (NRT), an independent non-profit corporation dedicated to strengthening First Nations in BC through capacity building. NRT invests in First Nations in BC by supporting five key capacity development areas: governance capacity, education, language and culture, youth and Elders as well as economic development.

“We believe we are building a legacy of confident young entrepreneurs who will effectively compete in the global marketplace,” said Cliff Fregin, CEO of the New Relationship Trust. “We continue to hear ‘life-changing’ testimonials from many alumni as a key description of their experience at previous YES events.”

The three-day event is challenge-based. Teams of delegates participate in a series of competitions designed to help build skills and gain valuable business knowledge. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three teams:

1st place – $5,000
2nd place – $2,500
3rd place – $1,000
