BC Metis Federation Congratulates Bizzybody Events from Fort St. John

The BC Metis Federation is proud of Bizzybody Events, a Metis owned business from Fort St. John that will be recognized during the upcoming BC Aboriginal Achievement Awards November 26th at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver. Bizzybody Events has won the award for Business of the Year, One to Two Person Enterprise.

CEO and Founder Jocelyn Schick is Metis and the CEO and Founder of Bizzybody Events. She has support the Metis community in Fort St. John for some time and recently was responsible for coordinating the Metis Cultural Festival in Kelly Lake. Bizzybody is a company that provides organizational planning, administrative services, and event management for conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, rallies, tournaments, concerts, gala’s, reunions, Civic events and any other happening they may have in mind. Bizzybody launched January 1, 2008 and is a member of the Fort St .John & District Chamber of Commerce.

Based today in Fort St. John, BC, Jocelyn was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is the youngest of 16 children. She has strong family values and appreciates all the love and advice given by her older siblings over the years. While growing up, Jocelyn discovered a passion for getting involved in family events, as well as those in her community.

This is the Fourth Annual BC Aboriginal Business Awards Gala. This event will be a very exciting occasion with a rich and wide representation from BC’s Aboriginal communities, government, the private and public sectors, as well as educational institutions and others who have a strong commitment to Aboriginal entrepreneurship.

The BC Metis Federation board and members are extremely proud of Jocelyn for her success.
