The BC Metis Federation sent a letter to the Minister of Child and Family Development (MCFD), Honourable Stephanie Cadieux earlier this week after the Metis Commission for Children and Familes in B.C. (MCCF) announced MCFD will not be funding the next steps in the MCCF Metis Child Welfare Metis Service Delivery Framework. This is extremely disappointing considering the importance of Metis culturally relevant child and family services and the increasing demands.

BC Metis Federation has requested a meeting with MCFD officials to address and will update if there are any new developments.
