BC Métis Federation Job Fair and Procurement Opportunity in Duncan

(Duncan, BC) BC Métis Federation leaders and team members initiated the second job fair and procurement opportunity forum in Duncan this past weekend. This was the second of six engagement meetings being held across British Columbia in partnership with the Government of Canada via Natural Resources Canada during February and March.

BC Métis Federation President Keith Henry stated, “We know there is an ongoing major public debate about Industry projects, but we have decided to continue our engagement because members continue to mandate us to secure potential jobs and procurement opportunities. The Coastal Gaslink and Trans Mountain Expansion projects, while controversial for some, are expected to advance and our Métis community has yet to plan for successful results.”

BC Métis Federation President Henry said, “Thank you to the members and Métis small businesses who attended as we build new relationships with key contractors and partners to ensure success. We now look forward to seeing people in Surrey on February 29th as the third of six meetings.”

A reminder for members wanting to attend the Surrey session, please be sure to guarantee your spot by email j.desjarlais@bcmetis.com or phone 778-892-0095. Métis members and small businesses must register in advance to attend the upcoming session.
