BC Métis Federation’s project team held its third community meeting in Victoria at the beautiful Songhees Wellness Centre on Saturday, November 23rd. BC Métis Federation continues to advance the importance of addressing key project work on Métis language, land use, and safety planning related to their members and Métis communities.
Three current projects are being brought to the local Métis communities. These projects relate to new Federal and industry work and are increasing conversations around Métis history and current practices, how Métis feel about their history, remembering how their grandparents spoke Michif and how they connect with the land and water.
