BC Métis Federation Director Jeanie Cardinal attended a meeting to support the North Thompson area of BC yesterday.  The meeting was to address strategic planning for Aboriginal engagement “Success By 6” table to ensure the recognition of culture, language, self determination and self-government to Aboriginal people in BC to enhance the lives of young Aboriginal children and their families.

The meeting table shared the vision to “promote the awareness and honouring of culture in Early Childhood Development by teaching the adults and educators of our children so our children can learn and retain the value of culture.”

BC Métis Federation will continue to support our community partners in building and promoting the importance of culture with our children and families and thanks the North Thompson representatives in Clearwater for the opportunity to meet and be invited to the table.
