BC Metis Federation continues to provide an alternative provincial representative Metis organization for Metis people in British Columbia. Individuals can become members of the BC Metis Federation directly or through association with one of the partner communities who have signed a statement of cooperation. The last 10 months have resulted in a 355% increase in BC Metis Federation membership with applications increasing on a weekly basis.

Other organizations continue to present false and misleading information about the BC Metis Federation membership process. Regardless BC Metis Federation continues to earn the respect and support of the Metis communities across BC.

BC Metis Federation is proud to release a membership report for July 2013 to continue the transparent and open governance.
