The BC Métis Federation celebrated its tenth anniversary this weekend with an incredible celebration in Kelowna. The jam-packed event was hosted at Four Points hotel in Kelowna and provided guests with hours of entertainment and incredible food. BCMF has been operating since 2011, with a rapidly growing
membership base. There were 150 people in attendance, which included members, industry partners and representatives from the local Westbank First Nation.
“We were not able to get together last year for our tenth-anniversary celebration due to the ongoing challenges with COVID-19, so we were really glad to be able to put on this event and celebrate in person with our members. Our team has done an excellent job, and we are proud of how far the Federation has come. I would like to specifically thank Sherry Daniels, JJ Lavallee, and Greg Mazur for their hard work making this event so spectacular. We had very humble beginnings, and to see the growth and impact that BCMF is having is truly special. We’ve grown to almost 6,000 members and are providing real services and support to them. We’re only just getting started,” stated BCMF President Keith Henry.
