BCMF is pleased to publish a necessary and important report that outlines the framework needed to launch a just and inclusive Métis Justice Strategy.

This report was developed after a thorough review and consideration brought about by the BC First Nations Justice Strategy published in February last year. It is important to note that while the BCMF believes the BCFNJS report is beneficial and needed, the strategy leaves out non-status First Nations people, off-reserve First Nations people, Inuit, and Métis. The focus of this report is to outline the unique justice needs of the 90,000 Metis people living in BC, and proposed recommendations.
