(Hudson Hope, BC) The British Columbia Métis Federation (BCMF) volunteer staff and long time supporter Earlene Bitterman is mourning the loss of her father this past week. Mr. Earl Debolt from Hudson Hope lost his battle with cancer at the age of 81.
BCMF President Keith Henry stated; “Our board and members send out our sincere condolences to Earlene and her family. It is so hard to lose a parent and family member at any age and we acknowledge their family during this difficult time. It is time for our Métis community to rally and support her family as they prepare for the funeral this week. Remember to consider sending Earlene a note, card, or attending once the family funeral arrangements are announced. It is time for our differences within our community to be put aside during these difficult times; we are all family in the end. ”
BCMF President Keith Henry concluded; “Earlene our thoughts and prayers are with you. Your family continues to showcase your Métis pride and BCMF leadership and members offer our prayers, love and support.”
