BC Metis Federation reported on the funding provided to MNBC President Bruce Dumont’s wife Joanne Dumont. True to form a letter was sent by a new legal counsel this week requesting the material be removed as it was allegedly a breach of privacy laws. BC Metis Federation has sent the following correspondence in response and has decided to respect the request but does not agree. However we believe the Metis public has a right to know all facts surrounding this situation.

MNBC leadership continues to do all they can to fight transparency and accountability and this is the real issue here. BC Metis Federation continues to demand that Joanne and Bruce answer for how she qualified for employment and training funding in terms of the number that have been rejected and whether she is actually Metis or not. Their actions continue to demonstrate they would rather hide behind courts than be fully transparent.
