BC Metis Federation is pleased to release a consultation guide to provide greater education and support for the Metis people across British Columbia.

The guide is designed to ensure Metis communities and families have objective information about what duty to consult means in relation to the Metis people in British Columbia.  Other Metis consultation references online appear to be motivated to support a provincial organization rather than the communities and we disagree.  As such this tool was created to provide guidance and support through education.

We encourage Metis communities and families to review and share at future community meetings to gain a better overall understanding.
