BC Metis Federation and partner Vancouver Metis Citizens Society reminds our Metis friends and supporters to attend our Evening of Culture event this Tuesday starting at 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Klahowya Village in Stanley Park in Vancouver. This is a barbecue and hamburgers, and a variety of drinks will be available.

There will be a special auction for various prizes that have been gifted to the BC Metis Federation. The major prize is a fishing trip for 3 worth $1000.00 from our friends out of Daybreak Fishing Charters (www.daybreakfishingcharters.ca) out of Prince Rupert.

The value is $1,000.00 for 3 people and the winners will be supplied a box lunch in addition to the charter. They supply all rain gear except boots and they have water and pop on board. The boat is fully Transport Canada approved and the captain is certified. They have a v-berth in the event someone wants to go below. All the winners will need is a fishing license and a camera to take pictures. The winner will have to redeem this trip in either June, July and August 2014.

This is a community event for all and all are welcome. We are also fundraising for the upcoming Metis Music Festival and support will be appreciated through purchasing your meal, perhaps bidding on some of the prizes, etc.
