BC Métis Federation has met with West Coast Marine Response Corporation (WCMRC) as part of the Trans Mountain Expansion project.
We encourage members to consider this summer opportunity. WCMRC is hiring six Indigenous interns to work as deckhands at one of our six response bases – Burnaby, Nanaimo, Victoria, Beecher Bay, Port Alberni or Prince Rupert.
The four-month (May-August) summer job is a full-time paid position. Interns will gain valuable work experience in the marine sector and insight into how spill response works on Canada’s West Coast.
