RE: Métis foster child SS

Dear Premier Clark,

I am writing to express my disapproval with the Ministry and Children and Family Development (MCFD)’s move to remove Métis child SS from the care and protection of the family that has customarily adopted SS and is sanctioned by the BC Métis Federation community. The BC Métis Federation is protesting this move, stating it is inconsistent with their Constitutionally protected rights and international laws on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. They are demanding this Métis child is immediately returned to their community.

I am joining the BC Métis Federation in protesting this move by the MCFD. Kindly reconsider your decision concerning this matter and immediately return SS to the family sanctioned by the BC Métis Federation.
