(Vancouver, BC) The Métis Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and ATCO Structures and Logistics have been working on a Letter of Intent over the previous month. This last week they have come together and signed this commitment to work together on current and upcoming projects.
With this partnership, ATCO Structures has access to qualified Aboriginal businesses and individuals throughout the province of British Columbia. They are not tied to any one area, the Métis are in remote communities as well as urban centres. They will be working through the Métis Economic Development Corporation, which does not play into politics but is about the business.
ATCO Structures and Logistics has embarked upon a growth strategy focusing on the province of British Columbia as it relates to energy and infrastructure development projects and ways to include qualified Métis businesses and Métis individuals in future project work.
It is the mandate of the Métis Economic Development Corporation to provide assistance for Certified Métis Owned Businesses, Skilled Métis Trades People and others who have the interest and ability, to become better informed about up coming projects and gain access to employment opportunities.
MEDC Chair Keith Henry stated; “This is another important business partnership and we look forward to future work together to assist Métis people. Our board looks forward to future business endeavours together with ATCO.”
