Métis Community Showcases Pride in Surrey at Fusion Festival

The BC Métis Federation continues to promote the importance of celebrating Métis culture and identifying events to showcase Métis culture to all people. For the third year the BC Métis Federation worked with the Nova Métis Heritage Association and the Michif Historical and Cultural Preservation Society putting together the third Métis pavilion as part of the Fusion Festival in Surrey. The Fusion Festival is hosted by the City of Surrey and has several corporate and government partners. The festival celebrates multicultural society in Surrey, which is also home to one of the largest urban Métis populations in Canada and the attendance estimated at 100,000 this past weekend in July 19th and 20th.

The BC Métis Federation also encourages members to view a few of the video clips posted on the BC Métis Federation Facebook page. Click here to view one of the three short video clips.
