MNBC 2012 Audit Reveals New Issue

The Metis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) is facing their latest challenge. These past few weeks the Canada Press has been releasing stories about audits conducted by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) through their independent auditor.

In an article yesterday their is new audit findings and issues being reported regarding the MNBC. MNBC has yet to disclose this audit information which likely identifies new over payments, etc.

BC Metis Federation has sent a letter to AANDC this morning requesting a copy and is pursuing options to get the information from other sources. This latest media attention continues to shine the light on issues BC Metis Federation has been raising for years.
