The BC Metis Federation is pleased to provide a copy of a letter sent by Musqueam First Nation Chief Ernest Campbell received last week. The Musqueam First Nation acknowledges and thanks the BC Metis Federation who has been making a concerted effort to lend their voice to assist and support the Musqueam First Nation and their protest at the Marpole Midden. Today this situation remains unresolved as the protest is fast approaching the 6th week.
I’m writing on behalf of Musqueam to thank you for your solidarity and support in our continuing pursuit of justice. We raise our hands in thanks to the BC Metis Federation and you for taking action to help us care for Musqueam’s ancestors at . Your show of support not only helps us pressure those in power to make the right decision, but also strengthens our resolve and ensures Musqueam’s story – a vital part of both our culture and the history of this area – is not forgotten.
Thank you for your continued interest! For the most up-to-date information, please stop by the site (1338 SW Marine Dr.), check our website (https://www.musqueam.bc.ca/), or monitor the Musqueam community’s facebook page (https://on.fb.me/Marpole) and twitter feed (@cusnaum).
