BC Métis Federation is proud to share a new resources for Métis members, families, and organizations seeking Métis resources. She has created a new Métis coloring book sharing some of the Métis history and culture from northeast British Columbia.
Member Earlene Bitterman is the creator of this new Métis cultural material. She was born in Pouce coupe, BC to a traditional Métis family and currently lives in Northern BC. In her early years being raised in construction and residing in isolated communities in the Yukon and Northwest territories, she developed her artistic skills. Her talents led her to participate in a learning to read series for Indigenous youth in which won the Lieutenant Governor’s award for literacy. Was contributing cartoonist and animator for the Michif language project teaching the Michif language to Métis communities across Canada.
