New Stó:lo Business Association to be Launched

An upcoming Aboriginal Business Connect Event (ABC) happening on March 31st, 2016 in Chilliwack, BC will highlight the formal launch of the new Stó:lo Business Association.

“This new Stó:lo Business Association will be modeled after other Aboriginal business associations and chambers, offering a host of membership benefits for Aboriginal businesses. It will become the voice of the Aboriginal business community,” says Louis De Jaeger, Chair of the Stó:lo Community Futures Business Networking and Public Relations Committee.

The event will be held at 7201 Vedder Road on the Coqualeetza grounds.

“ABC is a part of the larger vision Stó:lo Means Business that aims for the Stó:lo Traditional Territory to become a leading centre of Aboriginal business and entrepreneurial growth within British Columbia. With a strong presence of over 250 Aboriginal businesses in Sólh Téméxw, this event will have participation from a wide range of Aboriginal business sectors.” said Shirley Hardman, Chair of the Stó:lo Community Futures. “The new Stó:lo Business Association will be a key building block in the future growth of the Aboriginal business economy.”This is a free event and RSVP is encouraged.
