(Surrey, BC) The BC Metis Federation partner community Nova Métis Heritage Association (Nova) held their Annual General Meeting this past weekend in Surrey. The members reviewed the progress of the organization over the past year and among other society items, elected their new board. BC Métis Federation President Keith Henry attended and provided an update for the members in light of the signed agreement established between the organizations since 2012.
The Nova election results of the vote are as follows:
1. President – Ken Fisher
2. 1st Vice president – Anthony Krilow
3. 2nd Vice President – Harland Coles
4. Directors:

d. Sharon Eyford

f. Gordie Racette
BC Métis Federation President Henry stated, “Congratulations to the elected board members and returning Nova President Ken Fisher. The AGM was well run with strong attendance and our partnership continues to work well together.”
BC Métis Federation President Henry concluded, “The BC Métis Federation continues to find ways to support these community partnerships with programs and strong provincial representation on important issues. Nova members face challenged but we all recognized that working together for the betterment of all was the way forward.”
