The BC Metis Federation leaders applaud the Premier Clark and Environment Minister Terry Lake for the announcement today that the Provincial Government rejects the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipelines Project.

BC Metis Federation President Keith Henry has sent a correspondence to the Premier today acknowledging our appreciation for the environmental concerns. The letter also points out the outrageous position MNBC took in May 2012 suggesting that they supported the project because they reviewed the environmental issues and had no further concerns. It appears surprising that apparently MNBC has better environmental studies and review process than the Provincial Government.
