(Vancouver, BC) The BC Métis Federation and one of their partner communities, Nova Métis Heritage Association from Surrey, partnered to raise funds to support the community organization and assist BC Métis Federation with the costs to deliver the Trial of Louis Riel this past weekend.
BC Métis Federation was issued a Class B Raffle License #57442 effective September 18th, 2013 – November 16th, 2013. Since September 28th, 2013 BC Métis Federation and Nova Métis Heritage Association representatives have worked hard to support the sale of tickets. This was a limited entry draw and only 500 tickets were printed. A total of 297 tickets were sold and all remaining tickets have been accounted for.
Therefore BC Métis Federation is pleased to officially announce the award winners as follows:
- First prize – Bear Box – Blanket Box Cedar Chest –June McPherson – Surrey, BC
- Second prize – Pair of custom made Metis beaded Moccasins –Warren Bell – North Vancouver
- Third prize – Hudson Bay Vintage blanket & Framed Metis poster-Kari Bullock – Surrey, BC
Congratulations to the winners and BC Métis Federation will be finalizing a report in accordance with the BC Gaming License requirements.
BC Métis Federation thanks all individuals from across British Columbia for their support that raised almost $6000.00 which will be used to support great causes.
