We would like to let BC Metis Federation board and its members know that on Feb. 17th a motion was passed to adopt the constitution for our new Society. It’s called The Terrace Métis Cultural Society. It was great to see so many Métis, and none Métis supporting our new beginning.

On Feb. the 16th a dance and a jam was hosted by Moonlight and Rose at the Legion in support of our Society as a fundraiser. The turnout was awesome, many musician came and supported the cause.

Sashes were being worn, people dancing to Métis and other types of music and good comments were being made about the Métis. By the way we generated $320.00 and we were asked by popular demand to have it once a month. The Métis culture here in Terrace was next to none and as proud Métis we needed to move forward. Once again our Métis culture is alive and well here in Terrace and the surrounding areas.
