BC Métis Federation has been engaged with Kinder Morgan Canada regarding the Trans Mountain project for the past few years.
Yesterday, the National Energy Board ruled that Kinder Morgan has 157 conditions to meet before its proposed Trans Mountain Expansion Project is approved for construction. This project has the potential to impact our members, and consultation is ongoing. The BCMF Consultation Office is interested in hearing your thoughts on this controversial project and the decision to conditionally approve the project handed down by the National Energy Board yesterday.
The Government of Canada will now need to review the report and consider final approval in the coming months. BC Métis Federation will be reviewing the conditions and responding accordingly to our members’ past and ongoing input.
