Dear Mr. Henry:
RE: Website Posting
The following letter is in response to your email of February 27, 2016 regarding comments coming from a VACFSS computer site from a person identified as “Jerome” who posted comments to your Web site regarding a practice matter at BC Métis Federation.
After further investigation it has been confirmed that the posting was made by an Employee of VACFSS without VACFSS’ knowledge or authorization. The employee is employed by VACFSS in an Administrative support capacity with no connection to VACFSS’ delivery of service to children, families or clients. His posting derived from a personal place which was not within the realm of VACFSS’s mandate or concerns.
Given the above, the utilization of VACFSS computer systems and networks for personal purposes is contrary to VACFSS Policy and Procedures and the employee has been dealt with accordingly.
I would like to assure you that any comments made by “Jerome” were not the views of VACFSS or its employees who are acting or representing VACFSS in practice matters or otherwise.
I would like to emphasize that we value the good relations we have with the BC Métis Federation and we have taken steps to ensure such communications do not come from VACFSS computers or other agency related sites.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
