Community-based researcher Karen Prouse recently attended a meeting at the Fort Nelson Friendship Centre and shared about the Metis Terrestrial Investigations Project! Karen also visited Old Fort and included a picture of the church.
Karen is researching Metis history and memory on the land and water and to understand Metis people as they lived, worked and travelled in the vicinity of the Trans-Mountain Expansion corridor.
If you would like to learn more about the work and participate in an interview, contact Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
