Local Metis research at the Terrace Heritage Museum

Community researcher Rosanne from Terrace provides an example of the fragile documents she is currently researching at the Terrace Heritage Museum.
Rosanne stated, “It’s amazing reading the many articles written back in the early 1900s and seeing how people made their livelihoods and the wording used or rather not used when referencing Indigenous or Metis persons. Unfortunately, these are not digitized, and some were extremely fragile and well worn.”
