Vancouver, British Columbia — September 23, 2025 —The BC Métis Federation (BCMF) is proud to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Alacrity Canada, a leading organization in supporting entrepreneurs and scaling technology companies. This agreement marks an important step in fostering innovation, capacity-building, and economic development opportunities for Métis communities across British Columbia.
The MOU establishes a collaborative framework to:
- Support Métis entrepreneurs and small businesses through mentorship, training, and incubation services.
- Improve access to funding, investment, and networks for Métis-led ventures.
- Advance digital skills, technology adoption, and innovation capacity within Métis communities.
- Strengthen partnerships that align with Métis cultural values and self-determination.
BCMF President Keith Henry emphasized the significance of the agreement, saying, “This MOU with Alacrity Canada represents a new pathway for Métis people to fully participate in British Columbia’s innovation economy. Together, we are creating opportunities for Métis entrepreneurs to build businesses, access new markets, and contribute meaningfully to the province’s future.”
This partnership builds on BCMF’s long-standing commitment to advancing Métis economic resilience and aligns with broader reconciliation and economic development efforts across Canada.
