Join The Coastal Water Protectors as they celebrate trails in regional parks on BC Trails Day! This event will be held on Saturday, June 1 from 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Mission Creek Greenway Regional Park located at 2363 Springfield Road in Kelowna. Raid your closets and tickle trunks and wear your favourite festive and fancy hat and be entered for prizes for the most creative hats and outfits! Plan to walk all or a portion of the 6.5 km trail from Lexington Drive to Durnin Road as we tip our hats to trails!
Join the procession of fedoras, sombreros, beanies, bowlers, bonnets, and top hats as we walk a portion of the Mission Creek Greenway during this memorable event! We’ll have community exhibitors and festive performers. Kiki the Eco Elf and Trixie the Clown will be walking the trail to put smiles on everyone’s faces.
You can start the walk at the entrance to the Greenway by the dog park on Lexington Drive and walk up the Greenway towards the EECO or alternately you can start the walk by the EECO at Springfield and Durnin Roads and walk the Greenway towards Lexington. If you choose to walk the entire distance, there is a free shuttle service running from Lexington to Durnin to take you back to your vehicle. There will be regional parks staff and volunteers at both starting points to direct the fun!
Free shuttles at the two trailhead entrances: Lexington Drive and Durnin Road. Please note that the shuttles are not able to transport dogs or bicycles.
