The BC Métis Federation’s Culture and Language Department is hosting a Michif Language and My Family Workshop on March 22nd, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This workshop will be held at the BCMF Office in Vancouver (3665 Kingsway Suite 390) and will focus on the Michif-French language while exploring its connection to family heritage. Participants will learn:
- Michif Languages: Michif’s Language status and background
- Michif-French basic family reference names and phrases learning
- Learning where Michif Languages and family come/derive from
- Connecting Michif Language to Our Family Stories
Parking will be available and snacks and refreshments will be provided.
