The BC Métis Federation’s Culture and Language Department is hosting two online workshops for BCMF Partner Communities members. This is the second of these workshops and will take place on March 21st, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
This workshop is designed for BCMF’s Partner Communities members and will focus on the Michif-French language while exploring its connection to family heritage. Participants will learn:
- Michif Languages: Michif’s Language status and background
- Michif-French basic family reference names and phrases learning
- Learning where Michif Languages and family come/derive from
- Connecting Michif Language to Our Family Stories
