BCMF 8th AGM Success

BC Métis Federation leaders and team members are celebrating the recent successful 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was held in Kelowna, BC.  There were approximately 115 delegates in attendance which included voting members from many locations across British Columbia plus partners and additional family members.

BC Métis Federation President Keith Henry states, “This was our very best AGM to date! Our focus on Métis culture and addressing key policy and governance issues were powerful.  Delegates gave clear direction on many issues and approved the 2018-2019 Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements.”

BC Métis Federation Vice President Rene Therrien added, “I have been working hard to promote culture through language and I was especially pleased to hold our elders committee meeting and then update the AGM delegates. We are embarking on a new Michif language strategy and I am honoured by the support of our elders and delegates this weekend”
