Gething Coal Project is located approximately 25 km south of Hudson’s Hope, BC, and 5 km from GMS or Bennett Hydroelectric Station and accessible by Johnson Forest Service Road, Highway 29 and Highway 97.
The Gething coal property has undergone numerous geological investigations and explorations dating back to 1971. Gething Project will produce 4 million Mt/yr clean metallurgical coal per year from the Trojan and Superior seams and other coal seams, by means of underground mining and coal processing. The mine life will be over 30 years. The project phase is in process of the provincial environmental assessment.
