Vancouver, BC – BC Métis Federation board continued their governance work this weekend with the recent meeting in Vancouver at their office. The board addressed internal reporting and planning where we discussed key items such as economic development, child and family policy, health, consultation office updates, membership progress, new project initiatives, and much more.
BC Métis Federation President Henry stated, “Thank you to our board who met this weekend and dedicated time and efforts to support the provincial organization for our members and partner communities. The organization continues to grow and our leadership is advocating and supporting new Métis cultural initiatives and support for our members and communities on numerous fronts. We have developed a number of project plans and have submitted various proposals to support members and partner organizations throughout BC. We also continue to grow initiatives that have been invested in this past year.”
BC Métis Federation President concluded, “The draft minutes will be posted this week and members can review. We are making significant progressive steps with new relationships and look forward to a bright future.”
