On November 16th, BC Métis Federation held a Métis cultural event in Vancouver to commemorate Louis Riel Day. Almost forty attendees came together to watch a documentary highlighting Louis Riel’s enduring legacy and reflect on the day.

BC Métis Federation President Keith Henry gave an emotional talk about the trauma his family faced during Louis Riel’s time. He was clear that Louis Riel Day isn’t a celebration but a time to push for exoneration of Louis Riel and the people who supported him.
