On Saturday, March 22nd, the BC Métis Federation’s Culture and Language Department hosted a Michif Language and My Family Workshop in Vancouver.

This workshop taught attendees about the Michif-French language while exploring its connection to family heritage. Participants enjoyed snacks and refreshments as they had the opportunity to learn Michif-French basic family reference names and phrases, where Michif Languages and family come/derive from and more.
