Held in partnership with BC Target Sports Association (BCTSA), this Development Camp is an opportunity for Aboriginal (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) youth ages 10-19 to learn and experience the sport of RIFLE SHOOTING in a safe and controlled environment working with BCTSA’s top instructors. No equipment necessary. No experience necessary.
A sport relying upon accuracy and precision, this is a rare opportunity to gain experience and exposure to this shooting sport and develop new skills. A NCCP Level 1 Technical Coaching course will be held in conjunction with the 2011 BC Aboriginal Provincial Rifle Camp October 22-23, 2011 in Kamloops, BC. This course is offered to those candidates who wish to gain knowledge and experience as a Coach in the sport of Competitive shooting. In support of Aboriginal coaching development in BC and thanks to the support of the Province of BC, the Aboriginal Sport, Recreation & Physical Activity Partners Council is pleased to sponsor the course registration fee for individuals of Aboriginal ancestry (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) who wish to participate in this course.
