Vancouver, British Columbia, April 7th, 2025 — The BC Métis Federation (BCMF) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024-25 Greg Mazur Student Scholarships, which aim to support Métis students pursuing post-secondary education. These scholarships provide essential financial support to eligible Métis students from British Columbia enrolled in accredited post-secondary institutions across Canada.
The following 20 students have been awarded a Greg Mazur Student Scholarship for the 2024-25 academic year, each receiving a scholarship of $1,500 to support their educational journey

These scholarship recipients represent the diverse talents and aspirations of Métis students in British Columbia. Many recipients are pursuing careers in healthcare, education, environmental sciences, and technology, demonstrating a strong commitment to community and social development.
“The dedication, hard work, and determination shown by these students is truly inspiring,” said BCMF President Keith Henry. “Their perseverance and passion for their fields of study will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and strength of our Métis communities, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact these individuals will have on their communities and the world.”

Background
Greg Mazur was a long-time champion of the Métis who was committed to expanding educational and employment opportunities for Métis in BC. After his passing in 2023, the BC Métis Federation named its scholarship program in his honour.
