BC Métis Federation is notifying members that effective immediately the board has appointed 2 new board members in accordance with the bylaws to serve on the board until the next board elections. Penticton resident Jacquie Swaisland and Kelowna community leader Greg Mazur have been approved by the board to join the leadership team.
BC Métis Federation Henry stated, “This is another exciting day as we bring two more professional leaders to the Provincial team. Greg is well known in Métis politics and his former and current work with Indigenous economic development will bring another important strength to the team. We know Greg is well respected in Kelowna and he will be excellent to work with.”
BC Métis Federation Henry added. “Jacquie resides in Penticton and there is growing support by members there to work with the BC Métis Federation. Jacquie is a very successful businesswoman and she will be another key leader for our team as we move forward.”
BC Métis Federation leaders are preparing for the 8th Annual General Meeting in Kelowna and members can meet Greg, Jacquie, and the team on October 5th.
