Vancouver, British Columbia, September 4, 2024 — The BC Métis Federation (BCMF) is proud to announce the launch of the new BC Métis job board, BCMetis.Work, which connects BCMF members with employment opportunities.

The newly designed job board has improved functionality, allowing job seekers to filter, search by keyword, and save “favourite” jobs. It is an important tool for the BCMF Career Services staff to enable connections between employers and potential employees, and an important tool for the economic prosperity of Métis in BC.

Jennifer Percival, BCMF Industry Employment Coordinator, is in charge of providing important career services to BCMF members, including resume review and editing, cover letter support, job matching, and training opportunities. “I’m pleased that the new job board is so accessible and user-friendly,” she said. “It’s another tool in our arsenal to enable Métis job seekers to connect with employers in BC, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come.”

Brad Giroux, BCMF Industry Coordinator, is equally happy about the job board. He’s in charge of connecting employers with Métis candidates. “Our industry partners are always looking for opportunities to have hiring conversations with Métis in BC, and this new job board will make it much easier to forge those connections,” he said.
