Vancouver, British Columbia, September 3, 2024 — The BC Métis Federation (BCMF) is proud to release its 2023-24 Annual Report, which outlines another record-breaking year of growth and success in BCMF’s thirteenth year of operations.
The 2023-24 Annual Report highlights important progress made towards the three main priorities as set out in the 2021-24 Strategic Plan: Métis Resurgence, Member and Community Support, and Capacity Building. It also contains the full audited financial statements, as audited by KPMG, an independent financial firm.
“This year’s Annual Report is our most exciting yet,” said Keith Henry, BCMF President. “Our budget for programs and initiatives grew to over $7 million, up from approximately $5 million the year prior. This is a clear signal of the momentum BCMF is building, and we’re looking forward to sharing news of our progress and celebrating our successes.”
The 2023-24 Annual Report will be reviewed at the 13th Annual General Meeting on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Parkside Hotel and Spa located at 810 Humboldt Street in Victoria, British Columbia. More information about the Annual General Meeting can be found in the “Events” section of the BCMF website.
