BC Métis Federation board member JJ Lavallee showcased Métis culture this past week for several hundred students from the Vancouver School District, at an event called First Peoples Festival. The event supported Aboriginal/Indigenous cross cultural education and was held at the Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver.
BC Métis Federation encourages all school districts in BC and Canada to ensure Métis culture is provided to all K-12 students in the country.
