BC Métis Federation is pleased to share the recent letter by the Province of British Columbia to officially recognize the role of BC Métis Federation.

For the past few years various Métis organizations and Métis service deliver agencies in British Columbia have suggested politically and publicly that BC Métis Federation was not recognized by governments.  We know this is not true as the organization has built many new agreements to support our Métis members with current Federal and Provincial Governments.

The Provincial Government letter shared today is the latest communication that confirms the recognized role of the BC Métis Federation.

BC Métis Federation leadership, members and partners need to ensure future work towards Métis reconciliation and address serious cultural, social, and economic issues facing our members.
