Vancouver, British Columbia, September 26, 2023 — On September 23, BC Métis Federation (BCMF) members, directors, and partners met in Prince George for the 2023 BCMF Annual General Meeting, hosted by the Peyak Li Moond Métis Society.
The 2022-23 Annual Report and financial statements were reviewed, as well as information on progress towards the 2023-24 Action Plan. BCMF staff also provided updates on priority initiatives such as the BC Human Rights Complaint, Emergency Assistance Program, the Pacific Northwest Métis Cultural Centre project, and more.
“It was wonderful to meet in person to review the progress BCMF has made over the past year,” says Keith Henry, BCMF President. “Our members are engaged and passionate not only about advocating for the growth and prosperity of Métis people in BC, but also about celebrating our distinct culture.”
