On Saturday, May 3rd, the BC Métis Federation’s Conservation Department, the Regional District of Central Okanagan, and partners hosted a Wonders of Water: A Hands-On Adventure in Kelowna.
Attendees enjoyed fun family activities such as various learning stations and a Kokanee salmon fry release! The BCMF conservation team attended and engaged with the community, highlighting their 2025 environmental emergency preparedness initiatives.
Attendees contributed to the BCMF conservation team’s “Our Water, Our Pledge” wall, sharing their water conservation goals for summer 2025. The conservation team also provided water samples for testing, promoting awareness of local water quality.
