Anger is a normal, healthy emotion. And like any emotion, it is trying to communicate something – for example, that a situation is upsetting, unjust, or threatening. However, if anger leads to an explosion, that message never has a chance to be properly conveyed. As part of its Fall Online Series, the BC Métis Federation hosted a Zoom discussion on anger and anger management.
This online anger management discussion covered the effects of anger and how it can impact a person’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. It also covered both holistic and Western resources and ideas on better coping strategies for when anger inevitably arises.
